Springtime Senior Photo Session
It’s finally SPRING! This is my favorite time of the year. We get to enjoy the sunshine and visit Pensacola Beach more often and sunset is later in the day. It’s also senior photo session time for photographers. This is the time of year when photographers get lots of inquiries and bookings for graduating high school seniors. Photographers schedules fill up quickly during this time of the year. Families are gearing up to celebrate their seniors and professional photography sessions are often a part of that plan.
Remembering Your Senior Year
A senior portrait session is a great way to document this important milestone in your life. It gives you and your parents something to look back on in the coming years. It also helps you share your accomplishments and future plans with friends and family. Including 2-3 different outfits during your session allows you to show your personality. If you participate in band, sports or other extracurricular activities, include props in a few of your images to remind you of your high school activities. If you plan on attending college, incorporate your future school into some of the images.
Selecting a Senior Photographer
When selecting a photographer to capture important milestone images, it’s important to look through their images to make sure you love their style. Editing styles can vary from dark and moody to light and airy and many variations in between. It’s also helpful to ask to see a full gallery rather than the few favorite images handpicked for social media display. That way you can have a better feel for what you’ll be getting when your gallery is delivered.
What To Expect at Your Senior Session
Often, seniors are nervous about a portrait session devoted to them but we always have the best time creating beautiful images. My seniors are usually surprised by how relaxed and fun their photo session ends up being. Usually, mom will tag along and help with outfit changes and making sure hair and outfits look great. Sometimes, dads and siblings are involved too. No one can make you smile and laugh quite like family. I think everyone enjoys the experience of hanging out together. Bringing a friend along can also make for a memorable session that allows for lots of fun and laughter.
For this Pace High School senior photo session, the family joined in and we had a great time enjoying beautiful Pensacola Bay while photographing their daughter’s senior session. Mabrie selected outfits that she felt comfortable wearing and it showed in her images. We also included her color guard flag and rifle in some beautiful sunset silhouette portraits. A senior photo session is a great addition to your exciting senior year. Don’t miss your opportunity to document this time in your life.
