A profile image is many people’s first impression of you these days. We have all heard the saying, “You never get a second chance to make a first impression.” In our digital age, it’s even more important to have a professional-looking headshot. Professional headshots serve many purposes, from updating Linkedin accounts for networking and job hunting to updating actors’ access accounts for auditions. Headshots are critical for success in many industries.
Updating Your Headshots
We often use the same profile picture for years but there are some times that it may be beneficial to have professional headshots taken. Chances are the first time you needed a professional headshot for a profile picture yourself you snapped a selfie in a pinch or had a friend set up an impromptu photo shoot with amateur equipment. Many times once you have changed careers or if you are job hunting it helps to refresh your headshot. Other times you have changed your look or aged and your headshot does not look like you currently.
Professional Headshots – What To Expect
I love creating images that show your personality. This is true whether I’m photographing a family session or a headshot session. I work really hard to make sure you know what to expect so that you can enjoy the session and relax into genuine expressions.
Headshot sessions last about one hour. You should bring 1-2 additional looks for your session. This can be different shirts or just adding a jacket or coat. If you need a more traditional headshot with a backdrop we will meet at my in-home studio. After we have taken several images you will select your 5 favorites images for me to edit. I will edit these and get them back to you within 48 hours.
If you want an outdoor location as your backdrop, the session will still last about an hour but I will send you a link to the gallery to select your top 5 images for me to edit. These will also be edited and sent back to you within 48 hours.
