Welcome to Pensacola Beach, where the sun, sand, and sea meet tantalizing culinary experiences! As a family-oriented photographer who cherishes capturing precious moments, I understand the importance of finding the perfect dining spots during your vacation. That’s why I’ve curated a list of five delectable Pensacola Beach restaurants that not only serve mouthwatering dishes but also offer a welcoming atmosphere for families to enjoy.
Pensacola Beach Restaurants
The Grand Marlin Restaurant
Nestled along the shimmering shores of Pensacola Beach, The Grand Marlin offers a delightful blend of fresh seafood and picturesque views. Families can savor the catch of the day while basking in the coastal ambiance of this waterfront gem. Don’t miss out on their signature dishes like the Gulf Coast Grouper and the Seafood Platter, guaranteed to leave your taste buds craving for more. My favorites are their delectable ‘grouper piccata’ and signature ‘praline basket’ dessert.
Flounders Chowder & Ale House
With its vibrant beachfront atmosphere and mouthwatering menu, Flounders is a must-visit destination for families seeking a taste of Pensacola’s culinary delights. Nestled on the tranquil sound side of the water, indulge in their famous Fish Tacos or savor the flavors of the Gulf with their seafood platters. Plus, the kids will love the interactive sandpit area, ensuring endless entertainment while you dine. My all-time favorites are the amazing ‘tower of onion rings’, the phenomenal ‘flounder chowder’, the classic ‘stuffed flounder’, and the sumptuous ‘key lime pie’. Flounders also has an expertly crafted sushi menu. Check out Flounder’s menu here. Fun fact: Flounders is owned by the same company as Crabs on the Beach and McGuire’s Irish Pub in Pensacola.
Sidelines Sports Bar & Restaurant
For a laid-back dining experience that caters to both adults and kids, look no further than Sidelines. This family-friendly sports bar boasts a diverse menu featuring everything from juicy burgers to crispy chicken wings. While you indulge in your favorite comfort foods, the little ones can enjoy arcade games and lively entertainment, making it a win-win for the whole family. My must-try choices are the ‘stuffed mushrooms’, ‘Montreal Cristo sandwich’, and the ‘French Dip sandwich’ Check out their menu here. Fun fact: Sidelines is owned by the same company as Peg Leg Pete’s.
Peg Leg Pete’s Oyster Bar
Step into the world of pirate-themed fun at Peg Leg Pete’s, where flavorful seafood and whimsical décor create an unforgettable dining adventure. From steaming pots of crab legs to buttery lobster rolls, this iconic restaurant has something for everyone in the family. If you love oysters, Peg Leg’s has the best ‘Oysters Rockefeller’. I also love their fried ‘combo platter’ with Gulf shrimp, oysters, bay scallops, and grouper. Families with children will appreciate the play area available, ensuring little ones stay entertained while awaiting their meal. Be aware when requesting seating, they have a Main Menu upstairs and Underwhere Bar Menu downstairs. Grilled items can’t be ordered downstairs. Peg Leg Pete’s does have a gluten-free menu. Pro tip: Arrive early to avoid the crowds and secure a spot for your pirate feast.

Start your day off right with a hearty breakfast at Native Cafe, a cozy eatery known for its delicious pancakes and creative omelets. Located just a stone’s throw away from the beach, this charming café offers a relaxed setting where families can fuel up before a day of seaside adventures.
