Senior year is a whirlwind of memories, milestones, and excitement for what’s next. What is one of the best ways to capture this special time? With a senior photo session that reflects your personality and style! As a Pensacola Senior Photographer, I love creating relaxed, natural images that truly feel like you. If you’re planning a senior photo session, here are my top five tips to help you make the most of it!

Book Senior Photos Early

Springtime in Pensacola is perfect for senior photos—think March and April. The weather is beautiful, the lighting is dreamy, and you’ll have plenty of time to get your images back for graduation announcements. Photographers book up quickly as graduation gets closer, so reserving your session early ensures you get a spot! (I deliver galleries in two weeks, so don’t wait too long to book!)

Pick a Location That Feels Like You

Pensacola has some incredible backdrops for senior pictures! If you love a beachy, natural vibe, Fort Pickens is a great spot. Want a more urban, modern feel? Downtown Pensacola has cool architecture and colorful murals. We’ll find the perfect location to match your style!

Plan Your Outfits (and Bring Options!)

Bring at least two outfits—one casual, one dressier—to get a mix of looks in your gallery. Stick with neutral or soft colors for timeless images, and avoid super busy patterns. If you need a quick outfit change, I’ve got a portable changing tent for privacy!

Bring Props That Show Who You Are

Your senior session should reflect your personality! Bring along a musical instrument, sports gear, college swag, or anything that highlights your passions. These little details make your photos feel extra special and uniquely you!

Family is Welcome!

Yes, family—you can absolutely come along! In fact, I encourage it. Your senior’s session is a big milestone, and having you there makes it even more meaningful. No one can make you relax (or laugh) like your family. Plus, I promise to grab a quick family shot if you’d like!
