Updated Family Photos
There’s something about the fall season that makes me think about updating family photos. When my kids were little every fall I’d set up my camera and take a family photo of all of us. It usually involved me setting a timer and running back to the group so that I could be in a few poses. Then I’d print these photos in 4×6 size and send them out with our annual Christmas cards to families and friends.
We have photos of family and friends who have sent us Christmas cards hanging on our refrigerator door. I love having these reminders of our loved ones. When I see their faces smiling at me it sometimes reminds me of a special memory we shared together or it may prompt me to say a prayer for their family. I have fallen out of the habit of sending Christmas cards. But I still treasure the cards that I receive.
Family Photos for Fall
Holland Farms allowed Pensacola photographers to use their beautiful sunflower fields for photography sessions this summer. Several sweet families joined me for a day of mini-sessions. Although it was warm and a little dusty, we created treasures for them to enjoy forever. This sweet military family has since moved to South Dakota so hopefully, these images bring a little bit of “home” to their new home.
Many Pensacola photographers offer mini-sessions in the fall. If you don’t have the time or money to invest in a full family session then a mini-session may be the perfect fit for your family! It’s a quick session that usually lasts about 15 minutes. It’s great for dads and wiggly kids. You’ll receive about 15-20 images in your gallery, and you’ll gain some beautiful, professional images of your family.
Fall Mini Session Locations
There are lots of great locations around Pensacola to take fall family photos. There are several farms open in the area that have sunflower fields, pumpkin patches, and corn mazes. Holland farms even built a pumpkin house for 2023 and they have some great images of it on their facebook page.
Pensacola Beach is always a great backdrop for family photos and the autumn sunsets are amazing! From Navarre Beach to Fort Pickens there are many beautiful spots to create stunning family photos.
Arcadia Mill is another great photography location. They have the mill and nature trail for different types of backdrops.
