Avoid coaching them to smile at the camera; authentic moments make for the best memories.
Conserve Energy
Keep the day of your photo shoot chill. Opt for a relaxed day leading up to your photoshoot. Save your little ones’ energy for the session, which often involves exploration and play. Ensure everyone is well-fed, and bring water and non-messy snacks just in case. Be strategic about snacks, though, using them as a last resort. Some good snack options include:
- Fruit Snacks
- Baby Puffs or Cheerios (dissolve quickly)
- Mini Marshmallows
Allow Extra Time
Be Ready Early: Give yourself ample time to prepare, at least 30-60 minutes more than you think you need. A relaxed start sets the tone for a happy family session. I know I get short with my family when we are running late and that’s not a good vibe for a photo shoot.
